JVIS Website Redesign
This project was completed while working at Oneupweb.
JVIS specializes in designing and manufacturing precision components for top-tier automotive companies and a diverse array of consumer products.
Project Description
During my time at Oneupweb, I partnered with JVIS to transform their brand positioning and completely redesign their website. The rebrand positioned JVIS as a cutting-edge technology leader through strategic updates to typography, refined image treatments, and a distinctive geometric pattern system that reinforced their innovative identity.
For the website redesign, I focused on creating clear conversion pathways by first analyzing Google Analytics data to understand user behavior and content preferences. This research informed a new user experience that guides visitors seamlessly to the information they need, resulting in improved engagement and conversions.
Challenges
This project presented two key challenges that required creative problem-solving. First, the brand colors didn't meet optimal contrast ratios for accessibility. While I educated the client on best practices, they chose to maintain their existing colors due to significant brand equity and existing marketing investments. I worked within these constraints to maximize readability wherever possible.
The second challenge was encouraging the client to showcase their human-centered design process. They were initially hesitant to pull back the curtain on their work. To demonstrate the value of this approach, I produced a video featuring their design process—showing an artist sketching one of their products. Once they saw the final result, they were thrilled with how it humanized their brand and were grateful I had advocated for this direction.
