Banking Different
This project was completed while working as the Design Manager at Oneupweb.
Founded in 1917 in Honor, Michigan, Honor Bank has grown to support customers with eight locations throughout northern Michigan
Project Description
Honor Bank knew that they needed to standout in the crowed financial institution space in northern Michigan, but needed help to make that happen. I worked with the sales team and executive team at Honor Bank to develop a marketing and creative strategy. I first put together a workshop where we looked at competitors and discussed how the brand could evolve to reposition itself. Next I worked on developing three campaign ideas, mild, medium, and spicy, to determine what was the right approach. They chose spicy! After that I designed billboards, sales sheet, direct mailers, and ads to get their new message out to new customers.
This campaign was success and I continued to work with them on developing additional campaigns and parts of the interior design of their new branch location.
Challenges
While this project was a lot of fun to work on, it still had its challenges. One of the biggest challenges was adapting the campaign to effective communicate our message across both the personal and business banking customers. I was able to work through this challenge by altering the message and our calls-to-action.
