Molly Maid Estimator Tool User Flow
This project was completed while working at Oneupweb.
Molly Maid is a house cleaning franchise organization that has been around for over 35 years with 760 locations across the United States.
Project Description
When Oneupweb identified that Molly Maid needed an estimator tool to remain competitive, the corporate team was on board—but their franchisees had concerns about implementation. To address these concerns and build confidence in the concept, I developed a detailed user flow diagram that clearly illustrated how customers would navigate through the estimator experience.
The project expanded into comprehensive usability testing, comparing Molly Maid's current site against three key competitors across more than 50 user sessions. I partnered with the UX Research team to strategically focus our testing on critical conversion funnel stages, ensuring we captured actionable insights.
Following the testing phase, I analyzed results and translated findings into concrete UI and UX recommendations. I then collaborated with the team to present our research and strategic recommendations to Molly Maid, providing them with a clear roadmap for improving their competitive position.
Challenges
The most challenging aspect of this project was navigating the diverse perspectives of the franchisee committee. Each member brought different concerns and levels of technical familiarity to the table. To build consensus and move the project forward, I adapted my communication style, translating complex UX concepts into clear business language that resonated with their day-to-day operations and concerns.
