Project Description

While working at Oneupweb, I got the opportunity to work with the JED Foundation to improve the user experience for their Set To Go program. Set To Go needed to convert their Right Fit Worksheet from a pdf to an online experience. I first worked with the client to reorganize and shorten the worksheet by nine questions to make it more user-friendly. Next I created interactive wireframes and tested the experience with five prospective and current college students. The testing was unmoderated and sent through email with instructions and a series of questions for them to answer. For the last part of the project I created the UI using the existing brand colors and elements to make it look consistent with the rest of the website.

Challenges

I was met with two challenges on this project. The first challenge was working with the client to shorten the number of questions. I determined with them what questions would not impact their scoring system and removed them. Another challenge I faced was testing. This project did not have any budget for testing, but I felt it was necessary. I got scrappy and sourced the individuals through work and personal contacts and then wrote up an email with instructions and questions for them to answer after reviewing the interactive prototype.
